Dexter came to us from another rescue as a stray with no prior background.
While in our care he showed signs of not wanting to engage with people and he needed space to do his own thing.
Over time he became friends with the team and built trust over resources, but still didn’t like being cooped up.
Due to his nature, we found him a home located on the grounds of a wonderful hotel, they wanted a cat to free roam the area but who would also like to say hello to people and be cared for closely by a member of staff.
Dexter now has the best of both worlds, he has lots of people to care for him and even has his own best friend, while still having the freedom of an outdoor cat and no pressure to be in a house.
These types of homes are great for cats that want freedom but don’t mind humans being close by, they feel no pressure into forced interaction and are still loved and cared for to suit their individual needs.

Adopted my Bulldog Annie from here in March. A home check was carried out, visited the centre three times tomeet my dog and met the behaviourist, met most of the staff, are very willing to answer any questions I had evenafter adoption. Gave me the full explanation of my dogs health at the time and with vet documentation and anypast she has or behaviours. All staff were so lovely, treat the pets with so much love and care. Was an amazing experience! Annie’s settled into our family so well
